International Accreditations & Collaborations

BAMBA (British Association for Mindfulness-Based Approaches)

Mindfulness and Compassion Academy has been officially approved for the 2025–2028 period as a “Quality Assessed Affiliate Teacher Training Organisation” by BAMBA (British Association for Mindfulness-Based Approaches). We are proud to be the first academy in Turkey to receive this accreditation.

This recognition confirms that our teacher training programs meet internationally established standards of quality and ethics, and that our participants receive training under the assurance of BAMBA’s quality framework.

We take pride in offering mindfulness-based trainings grounded in scientific evidence, delivered through a trauma-sensitive and self-compassion-centered approach.

With right intention, right effort, and right action, we continue to bring mindfulness and compassion into our culture and communities.

International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA)

The International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA) is among the most respected global organizations setting standards for quality and ethics in mindfulness teaching. It carefully evaluates teacher training programs and instructors based on curriculum depth, practice intensity, and teacher qualifications.

Mindfulness and Compassion Academy is officially recognized by IMTA as an “Accredited Mindfulness Teacher Training Program.”

This recognition ensures that our teacher training program meets internationally valid and professional standards.

Founder’s Qualification

Our founder, Canan Coşkun Sayın, holds the CMT-M (Certified Mindfulness Teacher – Master Level) certification granted by IMTA, which is the highest individual teaching qualification within the organization.

This title is awarded based on:

  • at least 500 hours of advanced teacher training,
  • long-term personal mindfulness practice,
  • supervision and teaching experience.

It is a rare qualification held by only a limited number of teachers worldwide.

International Coaching Federation (ICF)

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is one of the largest and most respected global organizations in the professional coaching field. ICF:

  • grants internationally recognized coaching credentials (ACC, PCC, MCC),
  • accredits coaching education programs,
  • establishes global ethical and competency standards for the coaching profession.

Mindfulness and Compassion Academy & ICF Accreditation

Mindfulness and Compassion Academy offers an ICF-accredited Mindfulness Coaching program, and has also developed a pioneering Self-Compassion-Based Coaching Training Program in Turkey.

This program integrates self-awareness and professional coaching competencies within an ethical and mindfulness-based framework.

Founder’s Qualifications

Our founder holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential, the highest individual coaching designation awarded by ICF. She is also:

  • an ICF-approved Mentor Coach, providing one-to-one development support for coaches,
  • an ICF PCC Marker, authorized to evaluate PCC credential applications.

European Associations for Mindfulness (EAMBA)

The European Associations for Mindfulness (EAMBA) is a respected umbrella organization that brings together mindfulness associations across Europe. Its mission is to:

  • support the quality of evidence-based mindfulness programs,
  • foster networking, exchange, and professional collaboration among mindfulness communities,
  • promote ongoing education, retreats, and financial solidarity among members.

Mindfulness and Compassion Academy is part of this European network through its membership in Minded (Turkey), one of EAMBA’s affiliated associations, and is therefore connected to this broader European mindfulness community.
