Retreat
In daily life, our minds are often occupied with something—thoughts, responsibilities, screens, conversations, and the constant rush of keeping up. A Mindfulness Silent Retreat is a deepening practice that offers an opportunity to consciously step back from this intensity and redirect attention toward the body, the present moment, and inner experience.
Throughout the retreat, the day unfolds through a structured schedule of mindfulness practices. Sitting meditations, mindful movement, walking meditations, body awareness practices, and compassion-based exercises are offered under the guidance of experienced teachers. Silence is one of the essential elements of the retreat. This silence does not simply mean refraining from speaking; it is also an invitation for the constantly stimulated mind to slow down, to become more aware of inner experience, and to simplify.
Time spent in silence can help us observe our mental habits, bodily signals, and emotional processes more closely. For those with an established mindfulness practice, a retreat can be a valuable experience that deepens practice and strengthens the ability to bring mindfulness into everyday life.
Who Can Attend?
- Individuals with a regular mindfulness or meditation practice
- Participants wishing to deepen their mindfulness practice
- Those who have attended mindfulness-based programs such as MBSR, MBCT, MBCL, or Self-Compassion courses
- Participants currently undertaking MBSR teacher training (this retreat fulfills the in-person retreat requirement for graduation from the teacher training program)
- Anyone wishing to create dedicated space for practice and a conscious pause from the busyness of daily life
As the retreat consists largely of silence and day-long meditation practice, it may not be suitable for those with no prior meditation experience. A basic familiarity with mindfulness practice or participation in a mindfulness program will be supportive.
